The Board of Directors, as the manager of the affairs of the Association, provides these documents to further define and clarify the standards for use of Lots and Living Units within Taberna. It is the responsibility of each owner to ensure that tenants, household members, and guests are aware of and abide by the community standards as promulgated.

If you are seeking a particular guideline regarding a violation, i.e. trash receptacle placement, boat and trailer storage, etc, you have two options:

  1. Place your cursor into the “search” field found at the right hand top part of this web page. Type in your topic (i.e. trash, boat, curb) and hit “return.” You will be led to the page on which the information is found. OR,
  2. Under this Governing Documents pull down choice, there is a section called “Covenant Compliance”. You can click on that menu option and you will be led to the “residential covenants” tab, which contains the specific covenants affecting Taberna property owners. Or, click here to access that page.

Notice to Right of Voluntary Mediation

Pursuant to Section 7A-38.3F of the North Carolina General Statutes, all members are hereby informed that you have a right to initiate mediation pursuant to the terms of the statute to try to resolve a dispute with the Association. Both the homeowner and the Association must agree to mediate the dispute, and each side is responsible for splitting the cost of the mediation, including payment of a professional mediator. The mediation process is an opportunity to reach an agreement to resolve a dispute – neither side gives up their right to go to court to have a judge resolve the dispute if the parties are not able to reach an agreement through mediation. The specific process to initiate voluntary mediation is outlined in Section 7A-38.3F of the North Carolina General Statutes.
